Why Pimple Gurav Parents Choose Wise Tutorials
Both boards, taught to their own paper
Pimple Gurav sends students to both Maharashtra board and CBSE schools, and the two are genuinely different exams — different textbooks, different chapter order, different internal choice, and very different marking. A class that teaches all boards from one shared set of notes is preparing children for an exam that does not exist.
We keep them apart. SSC students work from Balbharati in the board's own sequence, with test papers in the real SSC format and explicit training in how Maharashtra board step marking awards method. CBSE students work from NCERT with exemplar problems, the current sample papers and the official marking scheme. Your child prepares for their own board, not an average of the two.
Foundations first — Classes 1 to 8
Almost every Class 9 student who struggles with polynomials is really struggling with sign handling and factorisation from Classes 7 and 8. Almost every student who finds coordinate geometry hard has shaky ratios and fractions underneath. The gap is rarely where it appears.
So for younger students the work is deliberately unglamorous: negative signs across brackets, fractions and LCM inside algebraic expressions, basic factorisation, ratio and proportion, squares and cubes held in memory. Alongside that we build the written-working habit while the sums are still short enough that it costs nothing — because a student trained to skip steps spends the board year unlearning it under time pressure.
Two weeks of repair at this stage saves a year of frustration later. It is the least visible thing we do and the most valuable.
Nobody drifts quietly in a small batch
The complaint we hear most often about previous classes is that a child's slide went unnoticed until the term result. In a room of sixty that is inevitable rather than negligent — homework cannot be individually checked and a shy student will never volunteer a doubt.
Our batches are small on purpose. Written work comes back with a comment, not a tick. Doubts get a same-day rule, because Maths is sequential and a question left unasked in week one makes week three incomprehensible. And parents hear from us when something moves, rather than discovering it at the end of term.
Class 10: Maths only, and deliberately so
For Class 10 we teach Mathematics and nothing else, in a batch capped at 25 students. If you need all subjects for a Class 10 child, we will tell you honestly that we are not the right fit rather than take the admission.
For students who do come to us for Maths, the board year runs to a plan: syllabus completed early, chapter-wise testing through the middle months, previous-year papers under time limits, then full-length mocks — with an error log each student actually revisits rather than files away. Presentation is trained explicitly too, since step marks, diagrams and units routinely account for ten to fifteen marks across a paper that students lose without ever knowing why.
Getting here from Pimple Gurav
Pimple Gurav is a straightforward run across to Pimple Saudagar — a short two-wheeler ride for most families, and comfortably manageable as a daily trip because our batches sit in the evening rather than immediately after the school bell. If you are weighing the travel, come for the free demo first and see whether the class justifies it; several of our Pimple Gurav families made exactly that comparison before enrolling.

What We Teach
Class 1–5 (All Subjects)
Number sense, reading fluency and calm study habits — the years that decide whether later Maths feels natural or frightening.
